Drosi-Kare is a fourth generation combined oral contraceptive containing drospirenone, a progestogen with anti-androgenic and anti-mineralocorticoid properties, and ethinylestradiol, a synthetic estrogen. Drospirenone suppresses ovulation, counteracts androgen effects, and reduces estrogen-related fluid retention, while ethinylestradiol inhibits FSH, stabilizes the endometrium, and increases cycle control. Together, they provide effective contraception with additional benefits in androgen and fluid related symptoms.
